St. Michael’s Golf Club is a proud signatory of the R&A’s Women in Golf Charter, joining Golf Australia and other leading clubs in building a more inclusive and supportive environment for women and girls at every level of the game.
Through this commitment, we aim to:
- Increase participation of women and girls in golf
- Provide meaningful opportunities to play, develop, and lead
- Foster a culture of respect, inclusion, and equal opportunity across all areas of the Club

Our Initiatives & Opportunities
At St. Michael’s, we are focused on creating genuine pathways for women and girls to thrive in the game. Current initiatives include:
- Weekly women’s competitions and social play
- Mentoring and welcome programs for new female members
- Coaching and development pathways for junior girls
- Participation in the Australian Golf Foundation’s Junior Girls Scholarship Program
- Active female representation in Club leadership and governance
We also use Golf Australia’s Game Plan tool to regularly review and strengthen our approach to gender inclusion.

Whether you are new to golf, returning to the game, or striving for elite performance, St. Michael’s offers a welcoming community supported by PGA professionals and a strong network of women golfers. Together, we are proud to be part of a national movement advancing the role of women and girls in golf, both on and off the course.
